Most film festivals accept hundreds of projects, and lots of indie filmmakers get lost in the crowd. The 27 Club Film Festival is more selective: we accept exactly 27 films per year.
Each film gets an equal chance at recognition, without overwhelming competition, when the screen goes black and your film starts to play.
If your film is selected, you don't just screen. You join an exclusive group of extraordinary storytellers who earned a spot in the 27 Club.

"That's why we do this, isn't it?
To feel something. To feel a part of something. To feel human."
I was packing up for the day at work when my boss asked if I'd ever consider going back into the film industry. I told her I doubted I'd ever be on set again, but I wanted to find a way to stay active in the community.
For years I've said I'd love to make enough money one day to help local filmmakers create their visions. I don't have that money yet, but I still want to be part of the film community. If one person is moved by one moment in a film at the 27 Club Film Festival, I'll call it a success.

How do I submit my film?
All submissions go through our FilmFreeway page. Create a free account, find 27 Club Film Festival, and follow the steps.
Why only 27 films?
Fewer films means every selection gets real attention from audiences, so no film gets buried in a massive lineup.
Where and when does the festival happen?
The festival takes place online, February 26–28, 2027. We hope to move into a physical venue in 2028.
What kinds of films can I submit?
We welcome independent filmmakers and storytellers. Check the FilmFreeway page for current categories, runtimes, and rules.
How will I know if I'm selected?
Selected filmmakers will be notified through FilmFreeway and by email before the festival.
